WASA was launched in 1627 and was one of the most impressive ships of its time. On its maiden voyage in 1628, WASA sank in Stockholm harbour. 53 of the ship's 64 cannons were later salvaged in 1664 using a primitive diving bell. The ship itself was raised from the sea on 24 April 1961 and the WASA Museum opened the following year.
When you build this wooden ship model, you will find that it was originally thought to be blue. However, it is now believed that the colour was red instead.
The kit offers a unique opportunity to dive into history and build a faithful replica of this iconic ship. Perfect for beginners and experienced modellers alike.
